Committee Structure
- The committee will consist of 7 individuals who are not members of another club committee or board of directors.
- Members will serve a 2 year rotation, replacing 4 members each year.
- The group will meet in December, March, June and September, at 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month, before the regular membership meeting, or more if the group requires.
Committee Member Expectations
- Actively participate in committee meetings, sharing ideas and opinions.
- Help set agendas for quarterly committee meetings.
- Initiate a list of calendar events for the year, building on or perhaps repeating successful ideas or events from the previous year .
- Propose a budget for major events and parties for the following year to be submitted to the board of directors at the September board meeting.
- Work with others to help plan a run or party.
- Brainstorm ways to increase member participation and get feedback.
Chairperson: The role of the chairperson is described in the Board of Directors expectations and assignments document.
Time keeper will be assigned at each meeting to keep side conversations at a minimum and keep the committee on task.
Note taker will be assigned at each meeting to keep track of assignments, keep track of anything not addressed that can be tabled for the next meeting and jot down important issues discussed.
