Renaissance Assisted Living Cruise in
Jun 28, 2017 3:00 pm
Run leaders are Tony & sally Steffen

We are looking for cars to participate in a rally for an hour or so at Renaissance Assisted Living in DePere on Wednesday June 28.

The activity director at the center saw the Corvettes leaving the Broadway Auto event a few weeks ago and felt it would be a real thrill for the residents to be able to see a group of Corvettes drive onto their property and see the cars up close. The residents will be talking about the history of the Corvette that week.

We all love to show off our cars, and to watch others enjoy them too, so it should be fun for all. And it will create some fun memories for the residents. It's a chance for the Corvettes of the Bay to "give back"; something we've talked about often.

We will meet at the Festival store on Main Street in DePere (Hwy G exit from Hwy 41--I will try to park closer to the road than to the store).

Meet at 3:15, leave promptly at 3:30 and drive in a caravan a few blocks to Renaissance Assisted Living at 250 S 9th St., DePere.

We may plan a stop for a drink or light dinner afterward if there is interest.
Please send me an email or call to let me know by Wednesday June 21 if you will be there. tonysally.steffen@gmail.com or 920-660-8054

Let Me Be Frank show
Jun 24, 2017 1:00 pm
On Saturday June 24th there is a 'Let me be Frank' show matinee at 1:00pm. I have spoken to the event coordinator there who has set aside 35 tickets for us. Cost is $25 per person for the show which is a $5 discount per ticket. Let me be Frank is a community theater show at the Meyer Theater in downtown Green Bay. If you have never seen one of Frank's shows.....you don't know what your missing! Its a hoot!! Frank was our celebrity judge for the COB car show last year.
He is thrilled that the Corvettes of the Bay is considering attending one of his shows!! and the event coordinator assures me that Frank will give our group a warm and enthusiastic WELCOME!
This particular show is called 'My Twin Bridge Summer' set in Crivitz Wisc. The shows are zany to say the least but the singing is out of this world fantastic! and sure to entertain you!!

The show will last approx. 2hrs......we will then proceed to either The Cannery or Titletown just around the corner for an early dinner about 4:00ish. (I'm still working with both to see if they can accommodate our group) I chose the matinee and early dinner as I know some of you like to have your cars in before dark if you have a distance to travel.

Rhonda (the event coordinator) needs a final count on Thursday June 15th!! You can pay me directly for your tickets (cash or check) and she will mail the tickets to me. If anyone has season tickets as Don and I do....they can use them for this show, you just need to swap them out ahead of time. Rhonda will mail me the tickets and I will hand them out when we meet that morning. I have a few feelers out for someone to lead a short ride that morning.......if no one takes the lead we will meet at Noon in the Wally's Spot parking lot then proceed to the theater on Washington St.

LedgeRock at the Evergreen bar & Grill
Apr 9, 2017 2:00 pm
If you’re looking for a “cruise-to” event this Sunday afternoon that will take you through some scenic countryside, LedgeRock Band is playing from 2:00-6:00 pm at the Evergreen Bar & Grill in Morrison. Official address is 7075 Morrison Rd, Greenleaf. Phone # 864-3499. The Evergreen just re-opened under new ownership. They now have a full pub menu, a very nice bar, and a large dance floor. And of course you’ll get great music from COB’s own musicians – Northrop, Linssen, and the Terriens.
County W south from De Pere, or north from Wayside, makes for a nice Corvette ride. So take advantage of a beautiful spring day and let’s see if we can christen the Evergreen as a new favorite on the COB roster of fun pubs.

Oct 1, 2016 7:00 am
We will be going to Field of Dreams in Dyersville Iowa.
Corey Romasko and Lindsay Nordin will be our run leaders.
Hello Everyone, the fall run is nearing and so far we have about 8 cars signed up. Not sure how many we will see, but as always the more the merrier. We will be staying at the ISLE RESORT AND CASINO in Waterloo, Iowa. I currently have 15 rooms set aside. Should we surpass that number another block of rooms will be booked. The number for the hotel is 319-833-4753. Just say your with Corvettes of the Bay. The room rate is $159.00 for King Suite.

Again, a general overview of the run is as follows...We will leave Saturday, October 1st around 7:00 a.m. We will take a scenic ride down south west Wisconsin and into Iowa. Will will arrive at the Field of Dreams Movie Set/Field around 2:00 to 3:00. Depending on the group we may play a short game of baseball, tour the grounds, and visit the gift stand. From there we will head to the hotel where we will have dinner at the Otis and Henry Steak House. Well will be dressing up for this dinner. I will likely be in a coat and tie, and the gorgeous Lindsay Nordin will be gracing a beautiful dress. After that the night is yours for gambling or the the pool or any of the many relaxing amenities the hotel has to offer.

Sunday we will head back over towards the Mississippi for a nice scenic ride back home. As always we will make pit stops along the way, and for those of you wondering YES we plan on hitting Portellos for dinner!

We will be leaving the parking lot at 5:45 p.m., and will go on about a 90 minute run. We will arrive at Field of Scenes at about 7:15 p.m. The movies don't start until dusk(ish) -- around 9:00 -- but the theater generally sells out by 8:00, so it makes sense to get there early. There are two screens, and each screen has two movies, as follows:

Screen One: First Movie - "Secret Life of Pets"; Second Movie: "Independence Day"
Screen Two: First Movie - "Angry Birds (tentative)"; Second Movie: "Ghostbusters"

Feel free to go to whichever screen you want (I am leaning towards Screen One at the moment just because I don't know if I could sit through Angry Birds....).

They have a concession stand that (I'm told) sells food, beer, and wine. If you want more information, here is the website link: Field of Scenes.

Please be sure to bring your own chairs if you want to sit outside of you car. And, very important - If you are going to be sitting outside your car, make sure to bring a radio so you can hear the movie! I don't belive that they have their own radios anymore.

As they sometimes cancel the movies if there is bad weather, I'll try to send out another email on Saturday if the weather is "iffy".

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at jbauer88@gmail.com. Hope to see you there!.
