May dinner run
May 21, 2022 2:00 pm
The May “Dinner Run” will be on Saturday the 21st and will leave from the Swan Club at 875 Heritage Rd, DePere. We will meet at 2:15 and leave at 2:30. We’ll take a back road drive south to the Clara Creamery and greenhouse. This a goat farm and cheese factory that makes different cheeses and milk from goats milk. You can take a self guided walk around the farm and also buy their products in the store. They sell wine and ice cream (some made with goats milk). They also have a new green house with beautiful flowers and baskets/pots to buy. We’ll then travel up the east side of Lake Winnebago to Hollandtown and have dinner at Van Abels Supper club. Please RSVP by May 16th so I can give the restaurant a head count. If we have more than 40 people then the meal will be their “famous chicken dinner”. Please contact Fred Bartman at or 920-931-5183
Memorial Flag Placement with Am Legion
May 25, 2022 7:30 am
The American Legion places flags by each veteran’s grave in Allouez Cemetery prior to Memorial Day. They can use a lot of volunteers to get this job done, as there are around 3,000 graves.

Meet at the Allouez Cemetery on Wednesday, May 25 then work will be done from 8:00 am to 12 noon. Rain date May 26.
Volunteers should arrive at 7:30 am, using the Riverside Drive entrance to the cemetery.

You will work in groups of 3-4 people in a specific section of the cemetery. Dress for the weather, and it’s helpful to bring a wagon or a sturdy bag (like a reusable shopping bag) to carry the flags.

For questions please contact Sue Rabideau 920-362-5404 or Cathy Harrison 920-562-7137
June Dinner Run
Jun 4, 2022 3:00 pm
Tony and Sally Steffen will lead the June dinner run on Saturday, June 4, with a destination of the Primal Eats Restaurant. We did a test drive for lunch one day and decided the food is unbelievably GOOD! There will also be live music outside that day so let's hope for sunshine and warm temps.
The menu is typical of a southern style BBQ "joint" where there is not a wait staff. You will order your meal at a window and while it's being prepared you'll walk to the bar in the next room to order your beverage. Meat and sides are ordered separately to get the combination you want. We've been told the pizza is exceptionally good too.

We will meet in the Festival Foods parking lot at 2348 Lineville Rd, Suamico at 3 p.m. and leave at 3:15. Please or call/text to 920-660-8053 (Sally) or send an email to
We need your RSVP by Saturday, May 28 so that we can notify the restaurant.

To view the menu, go to:
Note that items labeled 1/2 pound typically serve 2 people. The items that do not specify a size are approximately one pound and will typically serve 3-4 people so you may have leftovers. There are also a few combo meals like pulled pork or beef brisket with mac and cheese (1/2 pound size and 1 pound size) or a 3 Meat Platter (serves 2 and includes sides.) The 3 Meat Sampler does not include sides. Click on each item to read the full description. If you are unsure what size to order, ask at the window. FYI - We ordered the 3 meat platter and had leftovers.

Hoping to see you there! Remember do not respond to this message -- it won't get to us that way. Call/text 920-660-8053 (Sally) or send an email to
We need your RSVP by Saturday, May 28 so that we can notify the restaurant.

Teacher Appreciation Day event Tuesday May 3rd.
Run leaders: Jason Dellise and Chuck Templer

Alex Wolf, headmaster of St. John Paul II Classical School requested the help of Corvettes of the Bay to honor his teachers.
Currently we have enough drivers signed up at the Feb member meeting to fulfill his request, but additional Corvettes would make for a great caravan and a fun lunch outing.

On Tuesday May 3rd, blindfolded teachers will be walked out of St. John Paul II Classical School by their students at 11:15am.
The COTB Team will be pulling into their parking lot at 320 Victoria Street, GB 54302 at the same time.
Our drivers would drive the teachers to a local restaurant, and return them to school afterwards, around 1:00pm.

Corvette Run to Iola for Lunch
Oct 10, 2021 9:30 am

Run Organizers: Rick and Sally Northrop
Date: Sunday, October 10th, 2021

IMPORTANT: We have planned a beautiful and picturesque ride so we hope many of you are able to join us. This run replaces the run previously scheduled by us for October 16th, because Rick’s surgeon needed to change the date for Rick’s knee replacement to October 11th. So we are getting one last run in before the surgery.

Meet us at the Shell station off Hwy 29 next to Maplewood Meats for a departure time of 9:30 on Sunday, October 10th.

We will traverse the beautiful Wisconsin countryside with a lunch stop at the Iron Grille in Iola. A German Octoberfest All You Can Eat Buffet for $11.99 a person will be featured. Of course this does not include your choice of beverage. They will also have a Bloody Mary Bar available to us.

After lunch we will continue winding our way east through some gorgeous farm land and forested areas arriving back in Clintonville. At that time members may wish to leave “the pack” and venture home on your own, or remain with us until we reach the Green Bay area.

RSVPs are due to Rick Northrop at by Tuesday October 5th, as we need to let the Iron Grille know how many people to expect so they have enough food and help to accommodate us.

Forgotten Fire Winery
Sep 24, 2021 2:00 pm
We will meet at Global Recognition, 980 Velp Ave, at 2pm, and leave at 2:15pm sharp.
Anyone interested in looking at anything in the Global Recognition showroom is welcome to come a little earlier. They will be clearing their lot for us for a photo opportunity as well.

The run to Forgotten Fire Winery will be via interstate 41. It is approximately 45min drive. The winery is about 1mile off the highway and well marked.
They have wine tasting that includes a glass to take home. And they have an outside patio area. I am working with them on a tour of their actual wine making area, and that looks promising.
I will need an RSVP by September 22nd please so that I can give a number to both the Winery and Global Recognition.
The winery offers a wine slushy on weekends but are willing to make a batch for us on Fri if there is enough interest. So please indicate if you would be interested in that also.

Veterans Home Visit
Jun 14, 2021 11:00 am
Veterans Home visit

Monday, June l4th 11:00 am

In the past, members of our Corvette Club arrived and received a warm welcome from the Veterans and Staff of the Veterans home in Green Bay. Our members brought basic items for the Veterans such as soap, toilet paper, tooth paste; toiletries, books; etc. There are five female and 44 male veterans at this home.

Theresa from the Veterans home asked if we would show our cars again and join them for lunch. The date is June 14 (it is also Flag Day) and we will meet at Festival Foods on University Ave at 11:00 AM. The plan is to leave Festival Foods at 11:30 and drive approximately one mile to the Veterans Home. Theresa will again serve lunch of hamburgers, brats and other goodies at no charge to us.

The Club has been kind enough to provide us monies so that we will have flags to give to each Veteran and the corvette members can be holding the flags out their car windows as we drive over and upon arrival. During our lunch time together, we will present a flag to each veteran.

If possible but not required, please bring needed items as mentioned above. With our gifts and the joy of seeing our cars, we will put smiles on the faces of our Veterans.

RSVP to Russ at 920.655.0902 or

No Later Than June 9th for food planning.

Doug will NOT be using his ZR1 to race Dan who will be in his 6-speed, '96 LT4 330 hp Corvette. We all know how that would turn out.
Instead Doug will be using his automatic, tuned 2016 Impala and running it on E85. This combination also produces 330 hp!

Will the 25 year old Corvette come out on top or suffer a painful loss to the shiny and speedy Impala?
Find out and see what other antics the guys have in store on May 21 - Its where the big ones RUN!!!!

Mid America Motor Works Fun Fest
No date specified
Mark Finco and Rick Northrup are gauging interest in the following event.

Rick Northrup and I have been thinking of going to the show at Mid America Motorworks Fun Fest on Sept 20 to 23, 2018. As I mentioned last night at the meeting, they are celebrating 25 years of this Corvette event, so the registration fee is free this year!

So far, we are just starting to explore this idea. We are trying to find out how many members would want to go or have some interest in this event.

Impromptu Run 12:30 pmTony and Sally Steffen are planning an impromptu Corvette run which will include social distancing. We will meet at Kwik Trip in Seymour (1020 Mainline Dr (on Hwy 54) in Seymour at 12:45 pm and leave at 1 pm sharp on Monday, June 29.

We will travel back roads to our destination at a County Park in Pella, Wi and enjoy a relaxing time for conversation while respecting social distancing guidelines.

The park has two covered shelters plus lots of shady areas. It has restrooms with flush toilets and a couple of marked trails to view the rapids and falls. Plan to bring your own lawn chairs and beverages plus your own snacks if you wish. Bring bug spray if you plan to walk the 1/4 mile or 1/2 mile trails.

We will stay at the park for an hour or two, depending on group concensus. On leaving the county park, we will travel to Shawano for an ice cream treat.

We are hoping you can join us. The short notice is due to planning an outdoor event around the weather forecast.
